AUTHENTIC NEGOTIATING WORKSHOPS

Based on Corey Kupfer’s best-selling Authentic Negotiating book, this workshop invites participants to tackle the hard questions and do the internal work necessary to achieve true negotiating success. This workshop is ideal for entrepreneurs, business executives, associations and anyone else who negotiates in business.

As a successful entrepreneur, attorney, and professional negotiator, Corey knows how challenging it can be to maintain authenticity when negotiating important deals, contracts, and disputes for your business. He will challenge you and your team to do the same deep inner work necessary to achieve true negotiating success as he has done with his clients and for himself, including when he negotiated his way out of being on the verge of bankruptcy during the Great Recession. Corey brings to the table over thirty years’ experience as a professional negotiator and an attorney, as well as his unique philosophy and approach developed over thousands of deals and dispute negotiations. Half Day

This three-hour interactive workshop will cover the following key take-aways:

  1. Corey’s core framework of clarity, detachment, and equilibrium (CDE)
  2. The top six ways negotiations fail
  3. The five steps to being a great negotiator
  4. The role of leverage in a negotiation
  5. How to deal with inauthentic negotiating tactics
  6. Context, Purpose, Results (CPR)—the single most powerful tool to prepare for negotiating success.

At least two participants will be chosen to participate in a live one-on-one coaching session that provides the audience with real-life situations and immediate feedback. Corey and his team will work with organizers to create the best experience for the members attending, including a pre-workshop online assessment and a take-home workbook.

Full Day

This six-hour interactive workshop is a deeper dive on the same topics as the half day workshop. The extra time allows for serious inner work and more breakthroughs for participants. In addition to the information and experiences included in the half day workshop, the full day workshop includes more in-depth CPR training with time for each participant to prepare a CPR for a real-life negotiating scenario. Corey will then review and provide specific input on several of them for the benefit of the entire group. Up to four participants will be chosen to participate in a live one-on-one coaching session that provides the audience with real-life situations and immediate feedback. The workshop will end with a role play exercise that demonstrates the skills learned.
